….before we can step up
Tuesday, August 18th, 2009You know you’ve had a bad day when a rerun of Grey’s Anatomy on Lifetime has inspired you to do better. In the last few minutes of the show it always happens where one of the characters does a voice over and music plays and everyone has this weird look in their eyes and things move in slow motion and of course there is always something shocking that happens that keeps you wondering and then there is something amazing that happens that makes you think “Everything will be all right. I can rest easy because the Grey’s Anatomy characters understand me and know what I’m going through”.
What you are wondering is correct; Clint worked late and I was all alone. He would have never allowed me to watch it if he had been there. I even DVR’d the end because I was so inspired and then watched it this morning wondering, “What the….??”. This must be what having a drunken night or being on ambien is like. I can’t recall what I felt the night before.
So this is the best! I typed in a bit of what I remembered of the inspiring quote and I found it on some one’s blog!
Hilarious???
Yes.
Here is the quote: (i hope it inspires you too)
“It follows us home, it changes our lives, trauma messes everybody up. But maybe that’s the point. All the pain and the fear and the crap, maybe going through all that is what keeps us moving forward. It’s what pushes us. Maybe we have to get a little messed up, before we can step up.”
~Alex Karev, Grey’s Anatomy
Yes you read that right; “……before we can step up.” And now I am in the mood to watch a dance movie.
Here is the blog I found it on:

I am not making fun of this blog at all. I just find it hilarious that someone else out their blogged about this quote and that I found it. No man is an island, right?
p.s. if I am on your RSS feed you need to change my address to www.tammysbirdbrain.com so you can get my updates. Can you imagine a world where you don’t get my updates?

I love that you blogged about the Grey’s phenomenon. I have found myself in tears at the end of this show way too many times.
