Tammy's Bird Brain

So my weekend went well. It was the cancer relay. The beginning of the night was really fun. It was the survivor walk which Clint’s dad was apart of. Then there was a lot of entertainment. I karaoked for the first time in my life. Me and my sister-in-law Michelle sang “Soak Up the Sun” by Sheryl Crowe. I will try to download the video for your listening pleasure. We of course sounded amazing. The fun thing about this karaoke is that it was with a live band and live back up vocals so it made you feel like a real singer……other than the fact that you can’t hear yourself and you are basically yelling into the microphone, oh and I can’t hit a decent note. The weather turned on us around 10 pm and didn’t let up. We fought it out until 9 am (when I say “we” fought it out I mean at 1 a.m. I got in the tent and slept until 7 a.m. while other people fought it out. Apparently cancer sleeps a little.). Even thought the weather sucked we had a great time and raised a lot of money for cancer research.

This weekend is my big relay. It is 187 miles with a twelve man team. I think I am running 14 of those miles. I got the easiest route. The hard part is that it is not all in one go. It is over about a 30 hour period. Should be fun though.

Today I am the mother of a 5 month old. I can’t believe it! Eva’s personality is starting to shine through. She is very vocal and slobbery.

Sunday is Father’s Day by the way. Check out Bakerella for an amazing Father’s Day baking idea. I desperately want to find time this week to make them. Talk about an ego boost. Everyone would praise me for my amazing creations. Do I tell them I didn’t make them up???

No worry, I probably won’t be able to make them anyways. I’m technically off sugar again. Stupid sugar and it’s delectable poison.
