Bluetooth in the Bathroom???

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

I understand how cool bluetooth technology but I still think it is nerdy.  I know that it makes some people feel really cool and important and that’s why they leave that thing in their ears so that even when they aren’t on the phone everyone knows that they could be on the phone hands free if someone calls them.  It is as if they are waving their hands in front of my face going “Watch me, No Hands!!!!” or “Oh, you still have to pick up your phone with your hands and hold it too your ear?  I’m so sorry!!!!”.  But it does help the people who actually talk to themselves not look crazy.

Now to the issue at hand.  DO NOT talk on your bluetooth thingy or cell phone for that matter in the bathroom while you are going to the bathroom.  Kindly tell the person on the other end that you need to use the bathroom and that you will call them back.  This is just rude and in my opionion gross.  Bathroom time should be your personal time to take care of your personal business whatever that might be.  It also disturbs the other people in the bathroom trying to take care of their business as well.

This happened to me today.  I entered the bathroom and then another girl entered after me and I said hello but she completely ignored me because she was busy talking on her phone call and proceeded to use the bathroom.  The bluetooth thing also causes you to be rude since the person on the phone has to come first rather than actual human beings that you are coming in contact with.

The End.

  1. Ha! I don’t know how many times I’ve talked to people who were on their bluetooth, not talking to me. I’ve never had a bluetooth encounter in the bathroom, though. I agree with you completely!

  2. that is just gross! I have been talking on the phone with people before and then I hear the toilet flush, yuck. Thanks for the suggestions with the books, I have been wanting to read the count of monte cristo.

  3. I agree. I also think people should not be on the phone when going through the check out. It slows down the line and it is rude to the cashier.

  4. I couldn’t agree more! My brother calls me from the bathroom all the time. Blech.

  5. Thank you! Thank you! I completely aggree with you.

  6. Bravo Tammy…
