Another Thankful Catch Up
Monday, November 24th, 2008I had a fun weekend and I had no time to get on the computer so I guess that is a good thing. Here is my thankful catch up.
20. My Mom
Today is my mom’s birthday and she is amazing. She is so talented, loving and generous. She can do anything and knows the answers to all questions like “Can I eat the meat in the fridge that has been there for five days?”. I have no idea what I would do without her and I am so thankful for her. I was at her house over the weekend and it was so fun to visit. She has a bed and breakfast on a 10 acre farm and it is so relaxing to go and just hang out. I am so lucky.
21. The Kia
Clint bought our Kia in 1997 the year we met. He bought it brand new and it has been our trusty car ever since. It has 164,000 miles on it and gets 36 miles each gallon. It is not a luxury car but it is ever reliable and cheap. It occasionally has some problems but never anything major. We are hoping to get it to 200,000 miles.
22. Laughing
Over the weekend I laughed a lot. The best is when it is uncontrolable and your stomache hurts after. It is the best therapy.
23. Warm Bed with a Warm Body in it
I love hopping into bed when Clint has been there for a while and it is nice and warm. He hates it because I am cold but it is good for me.
24. Thanksgiving
This whole week feels different in anticipation for Thanksgiving. I love it. Another plus is that it is only a 3 day work week for me. I am going to walk a Turkey Trot on Thursday for the Food Bank, Clint and some friends will of course be running. Then we will spend the day at Clint’s parents and have a nice quiet holiday since it will be just the four of us. And of course I am looking forward to all the food!

I love your thankful posts….they’ve helped inspire me. I now keep a Grateful Journal. It really does help your outlook on life, doesn’t it?
I laughed a little when I read the warm bed with a warm body because all last week after Bob returned from teaching seminary at 7am he’d get back in bed with me…I was the warm one, he was cold…but I didn’t mind:-).
That is one little trusty car!
which turkey trot are you going to be at? We are going to be in orem. Call me if you are there on thurs.
