Happy Halloween!
Friday, October 31st, 2008I love Halloween. I think that it is a great holiday, one that for the most part no one can really complain about and one that Christians and Non-Christians aren’t fighting about (at least I haven’t heard about it) and one that you don’t have to stress out about presents. This year though I am not doing anything special. I didn’t dress up for work though we are having a party and a prize for the best costume. I didn’t carve a pumpkin or buy any special candy. I tend to live in the future. This year I have told myself that next year I will go all out and do tons of fun things like throw a party and decorate like crazy and actually have a costume. My Halloween next year sounds like so much fun I can’t wait. (I am pretty sure I said the same thing to myself last year too.)
I realize this is not the best way to live and need to work on living in my present because if I am not in my future I am dwelling in my past which is definitely no fun to be in at the moment.
I do have proof that I do fun things though because that pumpkin picture that welcomes you to my blog is the pumpkin I carved last year. Yes, last year was a fun Halloween and next year is going to be so fun so who cares about this year, right??

Wow! Those pumpkins are so cool! I usually try to do too much and end up getting nothing done. I’m so far behind on my “to do before Halloween” list, it’s ridiculous. At least with living in the future, you don’t set yourself up for disappointment!
Arrested Development is my all time favorite show! When we heard the kids call their grandma Gangy, we were so shocked b/c we’d never heard of anyone else with that name.
Well, can’t wait for next year!
P.S. I miss you!
I think next year should include a Halloween Extravaganza at Disneyland.
its my fault that you didn’t dress up because I was supposed to make you a Dorothy apron. I suck.
