Chocolate Croissants
Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008My sister-in-law almost posts daily about these amazing chocolate croissants and when she was asked to please post the recipe she revealed that she gets them at Trader Joe’s. Well, there is no Trader Joe’s in Utah (so sad) but I did find a very easy chocolate croissant recipe in a Real Simple magazine. Everything that I have cooked from Real Simple is amazing so I am posting this without actually trying it first. Let me how it is if anyone tries this.
1 8-count tube of refrigerated crescent rolls
1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips or chopped semisweet chocolate
Heat oven to 375
Unroll dough and separate into 8 triangles
Place about 10 chocolate chips on the bottom third of each triangle and roll the dough up around the chocolate.
Transfer the croissants to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake until golden brown, 12-14 minutes.
Serve warm or at room temperature.

Those look yummy! I’m going to have to try some and see if I can’t ruin them somehow.
I am totally making these tomorrow (happy 4th of July breakfast) and will let you know how they turn out.
Tammy, I found your blog from “Seriously, So Blessed”, and I have to say, I think we may be second cousins, twice removed. I’ve been married for over 4 years, and we don’t have kids either. People always assume we’ve only been married a year since we don’t have kids, and some people’s heads explode when they learn how long we have been married.
I turned 30 in May, and had a little freakout over it, but am completely OK to be old now. My husband is also out of town a lot, and while I don’t check under the bed, I do actually carry pepper spray to bed with me, after falling asleep at 4 in the morning because I can’t sleep.
Oh, and we are going to see “Wanted” this weekend, but now I’m worried after reading your review. But it has dreamy James McAvoy, so it can’t be all bad.
Sorry for writing an essay, but your blog spoke to me, and I love blog stalkers, so I hope it’s OK if I stick around!
Tam, this is so funny! I want to hear how they turn out. I am doing a detox after my week of indulgence so no more chocolate croissants for me. When you come I will break that rule. I am generous like that.
I have to say that I really enjoy, Real Simple. It’s a great magazine. Although, I still don’t think I have finished last month’s issue.
yuuuuuummmm. I’m going to try these. I think we were talking about this at dinner a few weeks ago. Way to find this!
mmmmmmm- I just made these and they were yummy. I ate three.
So, we saw “Wanted” last night, and I have to say that I rather enjoyed it.

What’s not to love? But I’m with you on the “Fight Club” angle. It was quite similar. You know my love of Angelina, so I was OK with her being there for her face and butt.
That’s funny Tammy – now what’s Marie going to blog about?
those look delicious.
