Movie Weekend
Sunday, May 25th, 2008Over the weekend I saw two new movies. I saw Prince Caspien which I loved. I am a big Narnia fan and I love all the books. I thought the movie stayed true to the book and you could tell that the people who made it were fans of the books too. I thought it was a little long for a kid movie but loved it. Clint thought it was better than the first one.
I also saw Indian Jones and I didn’t like it and I am a fan of Indie. I was totally disappointed so I am interested to see what other people think. I thought the acting was great but had issues with the story line and some of the special effects. I thought they could have done a better job but maybe they should have stopped at The Last Crusade. Did anyone really think they were going to be able to top that one?
So let me know what you think.

I don’t have anything to add about the movies because we haven’t seen them. We want to see Prince Caspien but said we were going to read it first…yeah, like that’s going to happen. We’re like 6 months behind on movies. We just rented 27 Dresses and P.S. I love You to watch tonight….by the way, are you posting this during church?
It was so good to have a surprise visit from you last night! It was the highlight of our weekend for sure! (I told Bob we didn’t even get a picture to prove it…)
See you soon!
Melissa
that is too bad about Indiana Jones. glad you guys are having a good weekend.
Dang. I was excited to see Indiana Jones. Maybe I’ll like it anyway. We saw Iron Man last night and I really liked it. I think I have a little crush on Robert Downey Jr.
I was disappointed with the new Indiana Jones movie as well. I thought some of the special effects were extremely fake-looking and I was not impressed with the storyline. But it did re-ignite my passion for the old movies.
I agree with you completely. We loved Prince Caspian (we’re big fans of the books as well), and thought it was better than the first movie. We just saw Indiana Jones, and I tried really hard to like it, but I was mostly disappointed. The good thing, though, was that I finally opened my Indiana Jones The Complete DVD Movie Collection that my husband bought for me in 2003, and we started watching the first 3 movies!
I was so sadly disappointed as well. I kept trying so hard to like it. I do love watching Harrison Ford! I agree with you Tammy. Honestly, how can you top the Last Crusade, Sean Connery and Harrison Ford?!
