Meet Ralph!

Meet Ralph my new plant. Ralph came to me in a very special and giving sort of way. Today is Administrative Professional’s day. I am an Administrative Professional along with four others in my office and surprise they are all women. So this morning I was told to go to the store and get flowers and a gift card and a thank you card for all the Admin people including myself. I don’t think that it crossed anyone’s mind that in appreciation of Admin day someone besides an Admin person might want to go get this stuff, but whatever, it made sense to them, this was an Admin task so get an Admin person to do it right? Anyways, I got the other girls tulips and iris’s and I got myself Ralph. He is an Alocassia or African Mask. We also got $25 gift cards to Cafe Rio and a thank you card. Though no one noticed that I didn’t give myself a thank you card. What was the point? I felt stupid handing a card to someone that had my name on it and read “Thanks for all you do” and then asking them to sign it. But none-the-less it was a fun day and I love my new plant and I love my gift card. So to all those Administrative Professionals out there “Great job! Enjoy your day of no change!”

I LOVE that picture of you “on the ball”. Too funny! I bought one of those for Bobby to bounce on while we learn History and Science….he has to move all the time….so it works. But maybe I should use it more while I’m at the computer–never can have too much core strength.
